Claims (31)
[0001]
REVENDICATIONS1. A tire comprising a rubber composition based on at least one diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler, a polyfunctional acrylate derivative of the formula (Ia) or (Ib) wherein R1, R2 and R3 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-C7 hydrocarbon group selected from the group consisting of linear, branched or cyclic alkyls, aralkyl groups, alkylaryl groups and aryl groups, and optionally interrupted by one or more heteroatoms, R2 and R3 may together form a ring non-aromatic, n represents an integer of value 1, 2 or 3, and in the case of a polyfunctional acrylate derivative of formula (Ia), R 4 represents a radical chosen from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group, a propyl group or an isopropyl group, the said composition also comprising a peroxide, the levels of acrylate derivative wherein R1 R3 / R2 R2 R1 (la) Wherein the ratio of polyfunctional acrylate derivative level to peroxide level is greater than or equal to 6.

A tire according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the amount of polyfunctional acrylate derivative in the composition is within a range of from 10 to 70 phr (parts by weight per hundred parts by weight of elastomer), preferably from 10 to 60 phr.

A tire according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the peroxide in the composition is an organic peroxide.

11. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the amount of peroxide in the composition is less than or equal to 3 phr.

Tire according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the amount of peroxide in the composition is within a range of from 0.1 to 3 phr.

13. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the amount of peroxide in the composition is in a range from 0.2 to 2 phr, preferably from 0.25 to 1 phr.

14. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the ratio of the polyfunctional acrylate derivative level to the peroxide level is greater than or equal to 7, preferably greater than or equal to 8 and more preferably greater than or equal to 10.

Tire according to the preceding claim, in which the ratio of the level of polyfunctional acrylate derivative to the peroxide content is between 10 and 110, preferably between 10 and 70, and more preferably between 10 and 40.

A tire according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the diene elastomer is selected from the group consisting of polybutadienes, synthetic polyisoprenes, natural rubber, butadiene copolymers, isoprene copolymers and these elastomers. 20

18. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the composition comprises less than 50 phr of reinforcing filler.

19. A tire according to claim 18, wherein the reinforcing filler content is in a range from 5 to 45 phr.

20. The tire of claim 19, wherein the reinforcing filler content is in a range from 10 to 40 phr, preferably from 15 to 35 phr. 35

21. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the reinforcing filler is carbon black, silica or a mixture thereof. 10- 34 -

22. A tire according to claim 21 wherein the reinforcing filler is predominantly made of carbon black.

23. A tire according to claim 21 wherein the reinforcing filler consists mainly of silica.

24. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the ratio of the charge ratio and the level of polyfunctional acrylate derivative is less than or equal to 3.5; preferably less than or equal to 3.

25. Tire according to the preceding claim wherein the ratio of the charge ratio and the level of polyfunctional acrylate derivative is in a range from 0.3 to 3; preferably from 1 to 3.

A tire according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the composition does not contain molecular sulfur or sulfur donor agent as a vulcanizing agent or contains less than 0.5 phr.

27. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the composition does not contain molecular sulfur or sulfur donor agent as vulcanizer or contains less than 0.3 phr and preferably less than 0. , 1 pce.

28. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the composition does not contain a vulcanization accelerator.

29. A tire according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the composition does not contain an antioxidant.

30. The tire according to claim 1, wherein the composition further comprises a plasticizer, preferably chosen from plasticizing resins, extension oils and mixtures thereof.

31. Tire according to one of the preceding claims wherein the composition as specified in claims 1 to 30 is that of the tread, or an inner layer of said tire.
